We are a progressive, privately owned grocery retailer with five locations geared toward the gourmet shopper. We offer a wide range of specialty and unique grocery items, fresh quality produce, a full selection of meat and fish, prepared foods made on-site everyday, beautiful fresh flowers, kitchen wares and an eclectic range of wine and beer.

 

Company History

Andronico's Community Markets has been providing quality food and superior service in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1929. The first store became a focal point of the community, a place where everyone knew everyone else and where quality customer service was assured. That legacy carries on to this day. 

With an unrivaled commitment to innovation, Andronico's Community Markets provided its communities with break-through concepts that lead the industry with refrigerated "waterfall" produce cases featuring staggered shelves and a built-in misting supply.  We introduced metro shelving--metal grocery shelves--that allowed for shelves of variable depth. We also began installing in-store kitchens providing another new concept to meet the needs of the ever growing, busy family life -- "home meal replacement".

Over the years, Andronico's Community Markets has grown into an indelible, local institution with a loyal customer following that truly is passed on from generation to generation.
