The Bakery at Andronico’s is your go-to for all things sweet, delicious and special.

Saint Exupéry once said, “There is nothing better than the bread you share.”  We couldn’t agree more.  (Atkins-schmatkins—really, who gives a carb?)  Local bakeries deliver bread fresh to our stores, seven days a week.  We also, bake bread fresh daily.  Get it while it’s hot.  Also delivered fresh daily? Bagels and breakfast pastry.

We bake fresh, old-fashioned cookies, daily.  Choose from chocolate chip to peanut butter to gingery gingersnaps to our newest flavor, Salted Toffee. 

Our Adult Brownie is an item you can only find at Andronico’s.  Rich, ultra fudgy and dense, these are famous, even beyond the Bay Area.  These make a great gift for the chocolate lover, or yourself.  Fresh Tarts are available daily in a variety of shapes, sizes and configurations—you’ll find everything from fresh, seasonal fruit to chocolate mousse to lemon and lime (and sometimes with meringue).  We also bake fresh fruit pies in our Bakery Departments, daily.  We’re happy to share a sample, warm, right out of the oven.  You won’t be able pass on our pies with their nice, flakey, buttery crust and yummy, fruit fillings.

No sugar allowed? We got you covered with a selection of sugar free desserts.  Wheat allergy? Lots to choose from, spanning many local bakeries from Edna’s Success to Flourchylde, to Mariposa and more. Vegan? Come and get it.  (But not them.  It’s vegan, so there are no “them” involved here.)

Candy?  Chocolate?  We have both.  From our signature, Andronico’s candy, to chocolate from Clairesquares and Knipschildt, we have chocolate for that hostess gift, special someone, or yourself.  (You’re special, too.)

We’re proud to work with local bakeries, such as Rubicon Bakery, based in our backyard.  Rubicon is a not-for-profit bakery that helps people re-build their lives. 

Speaking of local, the majority of the items we carry in our stores are made locally.
